Kit Redman, 63, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Fort Wayne to Paul and Kathlene Redman.
He was a graduate of Columbia City Joint High School.
He was captain of the football team and received a football scholarship to Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisc. where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
Later, he married the love of his life, Carmen, and he embarked upon his 33-year career as a chemical salesman with Univar, Inc.
He loved college football (Go Dawgs!) and anything to do with the outdoors. He and his family spent many years visiting their cabin in Ellijay, Ga.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carmen Redman of Savannah, Ga.; son, Aaron Redman of Athens, Ga.; daughter, Monica Redman of New York; three brothers, Mike Redman of Columbia City, Dr. Kirby Redman of Minocqua, Wisc. and Brian Redman of St. Louis.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Interment will be private.
The family has requested that remembrances be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Savannah, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406 or American Diabetes Association, 5105 Paulsen St., Suite 236-C, Savannah, GA 31405
