FORT WAYNE — Columbia City’s girls golf team scored a win against a conference opponent with the Northeast Hoosier Conference Tournament on tap for later this week.

The Lady Eagles beat Norwell, 199-201 at Orchard Ridge Country Club.

Orchard Ridge is the site of the NHC Tournament this Saturday. With practice time for the tournament limited, both teams decided to play on the course.

With the win, Columbia City ends its conference dual slate with a 2-5 record.

Macenzie Lane led the Lady Eagles with a score of 45 on the Orchard Ridge back nine. Amber Nelson of Norwell was the meet medalist with a 44.
