HUNTINGTON â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s girls basketball team fell just short of a win on its final game of the regulator season Friday night.
After not going to school most of the week due to weather and Fridayâ€™s power outage, the Lady Eagles traveled to Huntington North Friday for a game that was rescheduled from Thursday.
The despite a fourth-quarter rally by Columbia City, the Lady Vikings prevailed, 49-42.
The Lady Eagles took a 10-7 lead in the first quarter, but let Huntington North go on a run in the second quarter. The Lady Vikings outscored Columbia City 17-9 in the second.
Nearly all of the Lady Eaglesâ€™ second quarter points came from Aubrey Wright, who scored seven in the period and 11 on the game.View more articles in:
