February 8, 2014

HUNTINGTON — Columbia City’s girls basketball team fell just short of a win on its final game of the regulator season Friday night.

The despite a fourth-quarter rally by Columbia City, the Lady Vikings prevailed, 49-42.

The Lady Eagles took a 10-7 lead in the first quarter, but let Huntington North go on a run in the second quarter. The Lady Vikings outscored Columbia City 17-9 in the second.

Nearly all of the Lady Eagles’ second quarter points came from Aubrey Wright, who scored seven in the period and 11 on the game.
