Lady Eagles fall to Southside, 3-0

FORT WAYNE — The Lady Eagle soccer team traveled to Fort Wayne Thursday night to play Southside.
Though Columbia City lost, in a 3-0 shutout, the Lady Eagles used the game as a learning experience.
“Southside is a very different team than we faced last year,” Columbia City Head Coach Nicole Gebfert said. “Last year they were quick and aggressive. This year, they were quick, aggressive and had talent.”
Gebfert said the game wasn’t a total loss, as the team showed improvement from the first half to the second.
