Lady Eagles fall

ANGOLA — Churubusco’s softball team dropped a 17-6 contest at Angola Tuesday night.

Despite the loss, the Lady Eagles had several strong offensive performances.

Kasey Gibson batted 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a run and four stolen bases.
Kellary Crabil batted 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

The Lady Eagles had a 2-1 advantage going into the fourth inning, but Angola tore the game open, tallying 13 total runs in the fourth and fifth frames for the win.

Angola had 16 hits while Churubusco recorded nine.

Kristen Krill pitched five innings for the Lady Eagles, racking up 14 hits and nine earned runs.

The Lady Eagles are back in action at Central Noble Thursday night.
