COLUMBIA CITY — It wasn’t pretty, but Columbia City’s girls volleyball team got the job done.

“We just didn’t play well,” Lady Eagle Head Coach Trish Hinen said. “I don’t know if it was because we just got off fall break, but it was a roller coaster tonight.”

Against Canterbury Monday night, the Lady Eagles opened up game one at home with a 25-19 loss, but returned in game two to take a 25-8 win.

Columbia City turned around in game three and gave up a 25-19 loss, but finally got its ducks in a row for the final two sets to win in five games.

The Lady Eagles took lopsided 25-15 and 15-5 victories in games four and five to pull out the win.
