Larry Alan Falcone, 64, of Huntington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 12:12 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntington.
Larry was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Huntington, to Russell and Patricia (Haneline) Falcone. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1966. Larry was inducted into the U.S. Marine Corp in 1967, and served as a corporal in the Vietnam War.
Larry worked at United Technologies in Huntington from 1991-2008 as a lead technician. Before then he worked at Locke Steel and Chain as a foreman and K-Mart Warehouse in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the American Legion Post #85 in Huntington. Larry loved playing softball and spending time with his family, friends, coworkers and his cat Semper Fi.
Surviving relatives include a son, Brian A. Falcone; two daughters, Susan Q. (Tony) Gomez of Columbia City and Dawn R. (Scott) Daniels of Huntington; two brothers, James (Pam) Falcone of Huntington and Sheridan (Sondra) Falcone of Fort Wayne; a sister, Paula (Albert) Blair of Huntington; eight grandchildren, Tasha Biehl, Shasta Ball, Trevor Biehl, Justin Daniels, Kayleigh Daniels, Kaytlin Falcone, Brooke Falcone and Chase Falcone; two great-grandchildren, Maddison Bernardon and Caleb Ball; one stepgrandchild, Tiffany Snyder. His parents precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750, with one hour visitation prior to the service. Rev. Elzie Spencer will be officiating. The burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with the V.F.W. Post #2689 providing military graveside rites.
