Sheriff’s Dept.: Burglaries on the rise

COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County Sheriff’s Department Chief of Deputies Mark Gatton is warning citizens to keep their doors locked.
The WCSD has had seven reported thefts from unlocked vehicles and buildings so far in the month of October.
“You make yourself an easy target when you leave your doors unlocked,” Gatton said.
