FORT WAYNE â€” Lewann Carteaux, 73, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Carteaux was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on July 25, 1938, to Lewis A. Musselman and Anne Louise (Schwartz) Musselman.
She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne in 1956.
Mrs. Carteaux married Francis â€śPeteâ€ť Carteaux on Sept. 1, 1962, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. He survives in Fort Wayne.
She was a homemaker, a very active member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and liked doing volunteer work. She enjoyed cooking meals for Hope House at Lutheran Hospital.
Mrs. Carteaux and her husband loved to travel, taking trips to Hawaii and spending seven weeks traveling though Europe to mention a few. She also loved to read books, play cards, gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Francis â€śPeteâ€ť Carteaux, Sr. of Fort Wayne; son, Francis â€śPeteâ€ť (Janeen) Carteaux, Jr. of Columbia City; daughter, Jeannine (Fedo) Solis of Rockport, Texas; seven grandchildren and a brother, John Musselman of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Glennys A. Carteaux and Jennifer M. Carteaux; one son, Joseph G. Carteaux and one brother, James K. Musselman.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.
The funeral mass will be Saturday at noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Officiating the funeral service will be Fr. Jim Shafer.
Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
Preferred memorials may be made to Easter Seals Arch of Allen County, Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home and Masses to the Church.
