Library lays runway for teens

COLUMBIA CITY — Peabody Public Library will present Project Teen Runway beginning in October. Sign ups for this new program are now open.
Sessions begin Tuesday, Oct. 1 and run every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. during October.

Anyone in Whitley County in grades 6 through 12 may sign up, regardless of whether they have a library card. There is a limit of 30 participants, so sign up soon.

The weekly sessions are as follows:
•Week 1, Tuesday, Oct. 1 — Easy and quick hairstyles and professional makeup in 15 minutes.
•Week 2, Tuesday, Oct. 8 — Skin and home remedies, including making your own shampoo and conditioner.
•Week 3, Tuesday, Oct. 15 — Etiquette and cheap, easy fashions.
•Week 4, Tuesday, Oct. 22 — Résumé writing and learning poses.
•Week 5, Tuesday, Oct. 29 — Photo shoot to get your portfolio ready.
