Linda Bisel, 64

COLUMBIA CITY — Linda L. Bisel, 64, of Columbia City, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Born Nov. 2, 1947, in Muncie, she was the daughter of C. Marvin and Betty L. (Stafford) Fager.
She spent her life in Albany until 1989 when she moved to her Big Lake residence.
She graduated from DeSoto High School with the class of 1966.
On July 25, 1980, she married Kenneth E. Bisel in Muncie.
She has worked at Wal-Mart, Columbia City, since opening day, 1990 in the clothing and soft lines department.
She was a member of Columbia City United Methodist Church and was an avid writer, currently in the middle of writing a book. She took every opportunity to attend all kinds of writing workshops through the Midwest Writer’s Guild and other numerous workshops.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E. Bisel of Columbia City; three sons, Charles G. (Michelle) Phillips of Ligonier; Mathew A. (Brooke) Phillips of Albion; Timothy E. (Tara) Phillips of Wolf Lake; daughter, Karensa L. Bisel of Columbia City; stepdaughter, Tonia M. (David) Sanders of Muncie; stepson, Mark E. Bisel of Columbia City; mother, Betty L. Fager of DeSoto; brothers, Kenneth E. (Carol) Fager of Dunkirk; Larry A. (Karen) Fager and Fredrick E. (Jane) Fager both of Albany and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, C. Marvin Fager and daughter in law, Shannon Bisel.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at the funeral home with The Rev. Dr. Dean Fager, officiating.
Graveside committal services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Garden of Memories, 10501 Ind. 3, Muncie.
