Whitko loses to C. Noble
SOUTH WHITLEY â€”Whitkoâ€™s softball team traveled to Central Noble Wednesday night and lost, 4-2.
Though the Lady Cougars recorded the win, they went five scoreless innings.
After the first four batters of the game scored, Whitko held Central Noble to no runs for the rest of the game.
The Lady Wildcats attempted a sixth-inning rally, scoring two runs in the final frame.
Indian Springs golf beats â€™Cats
On Tuesday, the Indian Springs and Whitko Middle School golf teams competed at Eagle Glen.
ISMS won by a score of 218-336.
Three Eagle linksters tied as medalists. Tyler Green, Spencer Klimek and Matt Benedict led the match, each shooting a 42.
ISMSâ€™ Cameron Slavich scored a 44, Nick Decker fired a 48 and Garrett Roehling shooting a 49.
The win improves the Eagle Stars varsity record to 3-0.
The Eaglesâ€™ JV squad also beat Whitko by a score of 315-420.
They were led by a low score of 52 by Tyler Hollis.
The win improves the ISMS JV record to 2-1.
ISMS soccer ties one, loses one
The Indian Springs Middle School boys soccer teams played two games this week.
The Eagles tied Leo 2-2 on Monday and fell to DeKalb by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
In Monday nightâ€™s contest, Niko Rongos and Cross Dietrich scored goals for ISMS.
Rongos also scored the Eagles lone goal in Tuesday nightâ€™s match.
Jon Fix and Javier Perez anchored the defense in both games.
The Eagles have a season record of 1-1-1, and resume play next Monday against Crestview Middle School.
