LOCAL COUPLE ACCUSED OF CHILD NEGLET: Police: Infant tests positive for methamphetamine

COLUMBIA CITY — Two individuals were charged with neglect of a dependent, as well as drug charges, when an infant in their care tested positive for methamphetamine.

Alisha K. Carden, 19, and Lutricia L. Harris, 42, were arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

Scott E. Cochran, 31, was arrested in connection with the same event, but was just charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

According to case reports, officers were called to assist DCS in the removal of a child from a home on North Whitley Street in Columbia City.
When officers knocked, they found Carden and Cochran with the baby. The pair said no one else was at the house.
