Whitko JV tops North Miami in three games

SOUTH WHITLEY — Though Whitko’s varsity volleyball team dropped a 3-1 match to Three Rivers Conference foe North Miami, the Lady Wildcats’ junior varsity squad picked up a 2-1 win over the Lady Warriors Thursday night in South Whitley.

Leading Whitko was Whitney Marsh with six kills and two blocks, and Brianna Tackett with five kills and four blocks.

Jasmine Gregory had 11 assists, Hanna Yohe tallied 11 digs and Kaity Reed led in serving with three aces.

Whitko golf falls to Canterbury

NORTH MANCHESTER — Whitko’s girls golf team hosted and fell to Canterbury Thursday night at Sycamore Golf Course, 185-220.

April Bishop led the Lady ’Cats with a score of 49, followed by Samantha Shell (54). Other scores include: Kirsten Crawford, 59; Claire Reiff, 61 and Kennedy Krull, 62.

’Cats netters drop 4-1 contest to Triton

SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko’s boys tennis team fell to Triton in South Whitley Thursday night, 4-1. Picking up the lone win was Cole Bechtold in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-3. In No. 1 singles, Tyler Baugher fell 6-1, 7-5. In No. 2 singles, Black Castle dropped a 6-0, 6-4 match.

The Wildcats fell 6-0, 6-0 in both doubles matches. In junior varsity action, Nic Rose fell 6-3, 6-1.
