Wildcat netters defeat Churubusco, 3-2

SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko’s boys tennis team picked up a win against visiting Churubusco Monday.

The Wildcats beat the Eagles 3-2.

All three Whitko wins came in singles action. Tyler Baugher got a 6-1, 6-0 win over Luke Lillmars in No. 1 singles.

Blake Castle went the distance in a three-set, 5-7, 6-3, 6-0 victory over Landon Lillmars.

Lady Eagles overwhelm ’Cats

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s volleyball team beat county-rival Whitko in three sets Monday.

The Lady Eagles won 25-13, 25-13 and 25-12.

Tressa Keim led Whitko in kills with four.

Elane Warner paced the Lady Wildcats in assists with 11.

Chargers sweep Col. City

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s boys and girls soccer teams lost to Carroll Monday.

The Lady Chargers beat the Lady Eagles 7-0, with 6 goals in the first half and 1 in the second.
