LOCHNER-GOFF: Trial slated for January

COLUMBIA CITY ­­­— ­Former Whitley County Chamber of Commerce President Sara Lochner-Goff is ordered to appear in court for a jury trial set on Jan. 23 and 24, of 2013, at 8 a.m.
Lochner-Goff is charged with theft, a Class D felony.
According to the Columbia City Police Department, Lochner-Goff was accused of cashing around $2,100 worth of certificates or “chamber bucks” between the dates of Dec. 1, 2010 and Sept. 13 2011.
According to police, missing chamber bucks were recognized by Michelle Culbertson, the chamber administrative assistant, and a check of redeemed certificates began to show missing bucks.
Lochner-Goff was dismissed from her job as the chamber president, which she had held since Aug. 5, 2010, and Michelle Culbertson was named the interim president. Doug Brown, is the current chamber president.
According to police, the certificates were redeemed at local stores.
