Logan Gibson, 53

Anthony Logan Gibson, 53, a resident of Merriam, passed away unexpectedly at 11:07 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Gibson was born on April 19, 1958, in Morehead, Ky., a son of Clayton L. and Ruth Lee (Terrell) Gibson, and moved to this area as a child with his parents.
He graduated from Central Noble High School in 1976, and lived in Merriam most of his life.
He had been employed as the purchasing manager at Pro Systems in Churubusco since 1997, and attended Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, Merriam.
A gifted musician, he enjoyed playing and teaching guitar, singing, and song writing.
He loved the Lord and greatly enjoyed singing His praises. He was also a woodworking craftsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
The surviving relatives include his mother, Ruth L. Gibson of Albion; a brother, Wayne (Holly McDowell) Gibson of Churubusco; two sisters, Sharon (Brian) Smith of Kendallville and Karen (Bob) Koldyke of Albion; two nephews, Chase Gibson and Braxton Koldyke; six nieces, Ashley Peoples, Courtney Nelson, Christy Gibson, Kelsey Gibson, Kasey Gibson and Carlee Koldyke; two great-nephews, Seth and Levi Nelson; and four great-nieces, Grace Nelson, and Ambreeya, Alexa, and Avalynn Peoples.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton L. Gibson on October 22, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in Merriam with Pastor George Cecil, officiating.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 2:04 to 7:32 p.m., or one hour prior to the service Friday afternoon.
Burial will be in the Wolf Lake Cemetery.
