Lois Janet Hoehn, 87, of Columbia City, formerly of Ossian, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012, at The Oaks Living Center.
Born Nov. 1, 1924, in Culver, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A and Nellie (Anderson) Hathaway.
She married Duane Q. Hoehn on June 25, 1944. He passed away in 2007.
A 1943 graduate of New Haven High School, she was a lifelong homemaker, wife, and mother.
She is a member of the Waynedale United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Michael Hoehn of Spencerville, Tedd (Lucinda) Hoehn of Indianapolis, Tamara (Todd) Speaks of Fort Wayne and Sonia (Steve) Simison of Larwill; nine grandchildren, Kane, Travis, Todd, and Raymond Hoehn, James, David, and Amanda Wise, Nik and Audrie Simison; five great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren and a sister, Lucille (Frank) Lerch of Fort Wayne.
Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Dianne J. Hoehn and two brothers, Joseph G Hathaway and Roy Hathaway.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation two hours prior.
Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
