Keith and Frances Nicodemus are celebrating their 70-year wedding anniversary. They are holding a framed photograph of their wedding from Christmas Day 1941. Their advice to young couples is priceless.
COLUMBIA CITY â€” He took one look at her and knew she was going to be his bride.
What Keith Nicodemus didnâ€™t know was that Frances would be his bride for 70 years.
Keith and Frances were skating at the Happy Valley Roller Rink in Columbia City but didnâ€™t know each other.
â€śI was with Eldon Anderson and I told him that girl was going to be my wife,â€ť said Keith.
Eldon told him he was crazy.
â€śI rebutted and told him that before the night was over Iâ€™ll have a date with her. The next day was her 18th birthday and we went to a service at the Oak Grove Church of God. That was our first date. It was at my church,â€ť he said.
