Lowell Allan Weeks, 68, of Columbia City, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
Born April 21, 1944, in Wolf Lake, he was the son of Paul and Mildred (Gawthrop) Weeks.
A resident of Columbia City most of his lifetime, he attended Columbia City High School and served in the National Guard.
On Oct. 4, 1969, he married Sandra Weston in Columbia City. For 31 years, he worked at General Electric, Fort Wayne, as a fork lift operator.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sandra Weeks; two daughters, Maria (Aaron) Reaser and Angie (Jeff) Mabie all of Columbia City; four grandchildren and two brothers, Philip Weeks of Ridgecrest, Calif. and Guy (Pat) Weeks of Columbia City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jeremy A. and Ryan E. Weeks and a brother, Roger Weeks.
To honor Mr. Weeks’ wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at South Park (Annex) Cemetery, Columbia City with Certified Funeral Celebrant, Sharon Brockhaus, officiating.
Memorial gifts may be given in memory of Mr. Weeks to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne or to Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana.
