Mable Blanchard, 91

Mable I. Blanchard, 91, of Richmond, Texas, passed away at 6:13 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Cambridge Nursing Home in Richmond.
Born on March 28, 1922, in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Leland Edward Blew and May Ilean Blew.
On July 11, 1942, she married Melvin Hayes Blanchard at Hattiesburg, Ms. She was a custodian at Whitko Community School Corporation for 22 and a half years. She had lived in Columbia City until 2003, when she moved to be closer to her son in Richmond, Texas.
Survivors include her son, James Edward Blanchard, Sr. of Richmond, Texas; and grandson, James Blanchard, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin in 1973 and sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Larry Krider.
