Margaret Cavanaugh, 55

Margaret (Fisher) Cavanaugh, 55, of Lafayette, formerly of Whitley County, died at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital. Born June 5, 1956, in Muncie, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Dorothy Williams Fisher.
She was a 1981 graduate of Purdue University and was a Food Services Director for 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, her granddaughter, her cat, and helping the mentally handicapped.
Surviving is one daughter, Rachel Cavanaugh of Lafayette; two sons, J.W. Cavanaugh of Pine Village and Levi Cavanaugh of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Scot Fisher of Vancouver, Wash., Alan Fisher of Muncie and Paul (Karen) Fisher also of Muncie; and her granddaughter, Layla Cavanaugh.
There will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Lymphoma Foundation of America, 1100 N. Main St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Simplicity Funeral Care is assisting the family.
