Marguerite Geisleman, 79, of Columbia City, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her residence. Born July 28, 1931 in Allen County, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Eva (Clark) Winchester.
Born and raised in Allen County, she attended Arcola High School. She moved to Whitley County in 1981 where she became involved as an active member of the Columbia City Church of the Nazarene. For the majority of her life she had the best job in the world, that of mother to her four sons and one daughter. She also worked at Adamar, Dana Weatherhead and home health care for Benton Gates, Sr. for three years.
She is survived by her sons, Rick (Elaine) Geisleman of Fort Wayne, Jerry (Rose) Geisleman of Ossian, Randy (Roberta) Geisleman of Huntertown and Jeff (Jessica) Geisleman of Fort Wayne; daughter, Stephney M. Fox of Columbia City; brother, George Winchester of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald Winchester.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas Beers of Columbia City Church of the Nazarene officiating.
