Marian Hedrick, 75

Marian A. (Ringger) Meyer Hedrick, 75, of Ft. Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
Raised in Grover Hill, Ohio, Marian attended Grover Hill High School where she graduated as Salutatorian and graduated with honors from Defiance College in 1958.
She had taught at Bryan, Ohio High School. For the last 37 years, she was a professional life insurance agent with New York Life in Ft. Wayne.
She attended Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church. Her interests included gardening, nature, animals, bridge, piano and ballroom dancing. She was also an avid reader.
Surviving relatives include her son, Eric Meyer of Indianapolis; daughter, Wendy (Mark) Gricius of Fishers; grandchildren, Evan and Emma; sisters, Betty Hofacker of Cecil, Ohio, Loretta (Walt) Schulz of Ney, Ohio, Frances Taylor of Hicksville, Ohio and Waneta (Dwight) Pinkerton of Ft. Wayne; brother, Chuck Ringger of Harlan and her two cats, Larry Jr. and Sarah.
Marian was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Ringger; mother, Alma Ringger; brothers, Lester Ringger and Lawrence Ringger; sister, Louise Beatty and special niece, Cheri Pinkerton in 1996.
The funeral service is 10 a.m., Tuesday at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, 10145 Maysville Rd. with calling one hour prior. Pastor Steven K. Conner officiating.
Calling will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd.
Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Acres Land Trust.
