Marjorie Bennett, 84

Marjorie E. Bennett, 84, a former resident of Collins and more recently of rural Cromwell, died at 8:01 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse.
She was born in Eel River Township, Allen County on Sept. 10, 1926, to Bert and Loudema (Shock) Ferguson.
On Jan. 30, 1945, she was married in Whitley County to Garland E. Bennett.
He preceded her in death Nov. 19, 2005.
Surviving is a daughter, Grace Sherman of Cromwell; three sons Max Bennett of Big Lake, Michael Bennett of Wolf Lake, and Gary Bennett of Peru; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. George Cecil, pastor of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, officiating.
Visitation is at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 6 p. m. Interment will be in the Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco.
