Fireworks benefitPortside Pizza will host a pair of fundraisers designed to raise money for the annual Tri Lake fireworks. On Saturday, beginning at 2 p.m., a hog roast will be held which will include a silent auction, a corn hole tournament and live music. Anyone wanting to donate items to the silent auction should call Portside Pizza at 691-3333. On Saturday, June 16, a golf outing at Crooked Lake Golf Course will be held. The event will begin at 10 a.m. Sign ups will be held at Portside Pizza.Mobile MammographyFrancine’s Friends Mobile Mammography coach makes getting a screening mammogram quick, easy and convenient. Many insurance plans are accepted and funding is available to cover expenses for women who do not have sufficient financial resources. The mobile mammography program is a partnership of the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Breast Diagnostic Center and Francine’s Friends. Redman memorial A gathering to celebrate and remember the life of Richard Kit Redman will be held Saturday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Columbia City Elks Lodge #1417, 109 S. Main St., Columbia City. Kit Redman passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 22, at his home in Savannah, Ga. Event organizers said, “Please join Kit’s relatives, friends, classmates, teachers and football team members (he was captain of the undefeated 1967 CCJHS team) to share thoughts, stories, laughs and toasts to a really great guy.
