Deb Wade dressed as a World War I “donut girl” to commemorate the Salvation Army’s 76 anniversary in Whitley County.

“Donut girls” visited the front lines during the war to deliver the fried treats to servicemen as a way to show their support.

At the Farmers Market, Salvation Army representatives passed out free doughnuts as a way to show their gratitude for the county’s support of the nonprofit.
