Marlene Green, 73

Marlene Joyce Green, 73, a resident of Churubusco, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Columbia City.
Ms. Green was born on Sept. 22, 1938, in Matoon, Ill., a daughter of Joe and Geneva Louise (Thompson) Fulk.
She was a member of the ladies auxiliaries of both the Churubusco Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Turtle Post 3846 and the Gilbert Davis American Legion Post 157 in Churubusco.
Survivors include her partner Dick Green; five children, Frederick Keith Green, Jr. of Columbia City, Myron R. (Aida) Green of Churubusco, Cheryl L. (David Barnes) Lawson of Columbia City, Paula (Brian) Johnson of Fort Wayne and Todd L. (Johneine) Clingerman of Columbia City; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Steve Green and L. Curtis Clingerman and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Green.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Churubusco Veteran’s of Foreign Wars.
