Martha Wallace, 88

Martha Jean Wallace, 88, a resident of Fort Wayne and widow of Herbert Wallace, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She was born Sept. 5, 1922 in Bluffton, a daughter of John and Joeanna (Burdg) Mendenhall.

The surviving relatives include her children, Bonnie Arnold and Peggy Heredia, David C. Wallace, Sr. and Coleen Driscoll.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Prairie Grove Cemetery, 6312 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Rev. Larry Smith, pastor of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, will officiate, and interment will follow.

At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco is in charge of the arrangements.
