Mary Lee Campbell, 79, formerly of Columbia City, died at 1:58 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Kent City, Mich. a daughter of Harry B. and Leona May (Riddle) Kelly. She graduated from Kent City High School.
Surviving relatives include two sons and three daughters, Dan (Cheryl) Campbell of Michigan, Doug (Alice) Campbell of North Manchester, Deb (Steve) Schmitt of Columbia City, Dawn (Craig) Kelley of Grand Haven, Mich. and DeDe (Rick) Buerkel of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; sixteen grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barb Moffat of Baldwin, Mich.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dave Campbell; a brother, Frank Shoemaker and two sisters, Dorothy Ringold and Bonnie Labrie.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at Peabody Retirement Community Chapel, 400 W. 7th St., North Manchester with the family receiving friends from 10 a.m. to noon. The burial will take place at a later date at Idlewild Cemetery in Kent City, Mich. Preferred memorials are to Peabody Retirement Community Caring Circle.
