Maurice Pfeiffer, 88

Maurice L. Pfeiffer, 88, passed away at home Monday, Jan. 3, 2011.  Born in Fort Wayne March 2, 1922, he was a son of Fred and Jessie Pfeiffer. 
He served the country as a Marine in World War II and the Korean Conflict.  He retired from Navistar in 1983 after 36 years.  He was a member of the New Haven Masonic Lodge 740, Waynedale O.E.S. 600, Shrine, American Legion Post 330 and Trinity English Lutheran Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Deloris of 66 years; daughter, Judith Pfeiffer Paul; and son, Richard (Doc) Pfeiffer; friend, Ann; grandchildren, Corey, Jennifer, and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Michael and Morgan and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, 420 W. Wayne St., Fort Wayne and service at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Krauss Chapel at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 405 W. Wayne St., Fort Wayne.
