McClure, Rethlake, Wilkinson headed to state

Frickey is competing at the state finals in both the 100- and 200-meter races.
FORT WAYNE â€” Athletes from 37 different Northeast Indiana High Schools converged at Wayne High School Thursday night for track regionals.
Whitley County had contenders in 11 different events, led by Whitkoâ€™s Alec Wilkinson, who was a regional champion in the pole vault.
Wilkinson vaulted three inches high than his closest opponent at 14 feet, 3 inches.
Columbia Cityâ€™s Matt Rethlake took second in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 4 inches.
Austin McClure of Churubusco had a second-place finish in the shot put with a heave of 52 feet, 4 inches.
All three tracksters will compete in the Indiana State Track Finals at Indiana University in Bloomington next Saturday.
