Three people were injured in separate crashes over the weekend.
On Saturday, 18-year-old Samantha Reimers was taken to Parkview Whitley Hospital complaining of head pain following a 10:15 a.m. crash at Main and Van Buren streets.
According to Columbia City police, Reimers was was traveling north on Main Street when she ran a redlight and was T-boned by a small pickup truck.
The truck, driven by Robert Love, Jr., 30, was eastbound on Van Buren Street.
Reimers was later released from the hospital.
In a separate accident, two people were injured when a car driven by Ronald L. Brown, Jr. of Hammond  swerved to avoid another car and ran off the road.
According to the police report, Hammond was heading west on U.S. 30 at 300 E when he developed a cramp in his leg. Brown told police he unfastened his seatbelt to adjust his seating and when he looked up a vehicle was starting to turn left across U.S. 30. Brown swerved to avoid the other vehicle and ran off the road. He also advised officers that the light had turned red for him and the other vehicle had the right of way.
Vonisha LaShawn Black of Merrillville was a passenger in the vehicle. She suffered minor injuries to her leg or foot. Brown also complained of pain to his knee and lower leg.
