Mom-son meth pair pleads not guilty

COLUMBIA CITY — A mother and son accused of selling chemicals to make methamphetamine pleaded not guilty in court Monday.

Melodie Meyer, 39, and Robert Barnett 22, both of Columbia City, were arrested July 24 for unlawful sale of a precursor and possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Both crimes are Class D felonies, which carry a minimum period of 6 months of incarceration and a maximum sentence of three years.
