Moms deemed ‘special’ by NHES students

May 12, 2014

Shayla Hall, a student at Northern Heights Elementary School, said her mother is special because “she loves me.” Pictured is Hall’s drawing depicting her and her mother. NHES students were asked to write down what makes their mothers special. The project was conducted in observance of Mother’s Day, which is Sunday.

Mothers throughout Whitley County will be treated to handmade cards, flowers and breakfast in bed.

“Moms do many things for us,” said Summer. “They take care of us and love us. So, give your mom your love because you only have one mom.”
