MR. WHITLEY COUNTY: Farm living not a necessity for 4-H
COLUMBIA CITY — “It’s not just for the farm kids.”Isaiah Kreider, Mr. Whitley County 2013, proves that anyone can find a place to excel in 4-H.While other 4-Hers traditionally have projects in livestock, Kreider, a 10-year 4-H member, is focused on entomology, garden, bowling and fine arts.He is the son of David and Judy Kreider, and was recently named Mr. Whitley County for 2013 as part of the Mr. and Miss Whitley County Scholarship Program.As Mr. Whitley County, Kreider is looking forward to “being at the fair all day, every day” as well as meeting new people.At first, Kreider didn’t consider participating in the scholarship pageant, which was held July 1 in Columbia City.
