Murray Michael Graves, 63, of Claypool, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at 9:01 p.m. at Parkview North Hospital of Fort Wayne.
He was born Feb. 3, 1950, in Fort Wayne, to Murray E. and Mary E. (Sheets) Graves.
He was raised in Larwill, and graduated from Larwill High School in 1968 where he was an outstanding basketball player. He began working for R.R. Donnelley and Sons in June of 1968 and retired in February of 2012 after 44 years of service. He loved NASCAR, coaching and watching his son Chad in baseball.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Candy Graves of Claypool; a son, Chad (Cara) Graves of Columbia City; a daughter, Jodi Langston of New Orleans, La.; sons, Paul (Steph) Wiley of Spring Arbor, Mich. and Peter Wiley of Seoul, South Korea; brother, Barry Graves of Indianapolis; sister, Lucy Ruckman of South Whitley; grandsons, Chase and Cooper Graves and granddaughters, Madison, Summer and Paige Wiley.
Visitation hours are scheduled for Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday in the Funeral Chapel. Pastors Steve Conger and Cindy Gackenheimer will officiate the services. Interment services will be private.
