The Blue River Big Band will entertain audiences with the Airmen of Note’s rendition of “The Little Drummer Boy” during their annual holiday concert Sunday.
Along with this new offering, the band will be playing lots of familiar Christmas tunes, and singer Dawn Ward will add to the festive concert with her vocal talents.
The concert is at 7 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of God.
“Even for us, this is one of the signs of Christmas,” said band member Todd Klingaman. “We really look forward to it.”
Admission to the annual holiday concert is free, but a free-will offering will be taken and donated to the Delts.
Cookies and punch will follow the concert.
Another holiday concert, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Holiday Pops concert, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 21 at the First Church of God.
Tickets are on sale now between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the church for the concert. Any tickets left, will be available at the door. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children.
