Nancy Grissom, 61

COLUMBIA CITY — Nancy J. Grissom, 61, of Richland Township died at 9:44 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Parkview Whitley Hospital emergency room.
She was born Jan. 2, 1951, in Johnstown, Pa., a daughter of Richard D. and Jean L. (Baltzer) Wolfe.
She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School and Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in education.
On Sept. 7, 1974, she was united in marriage to Michael W. Grissom. They made their home in Albion until 1988, when they moved to their present home.
She was employed at the Noble County Probation Department, was a substitute teacher for Whitko Community School Corporation and was the office manager for Michael W. Grissom C.P.A.
Her church membership was with Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Mike; two children, Tiffany (Bert) Smith of Churubusco and Nathaniel Grissom of Columbia City; four grandchildren, Jordan Grissom, Ce’Erra Beckner, Cody Norris and Chance Grissom; two great-grandchildren, Jaylyn Beckner and Brenxton Norris; and a brother, Donald Wolfe of Zephyrhills, Florida.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
The burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Larwill. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
