NEAR MISS: Golfers survive wind storm
COLUMBIA CITYâ€” Golf is not considered as violent or dangerous of a sport as football, rugby or hockey.
But golf courses can have their moments of danger, as area linkers found out Wednesday.
A strong storm cell hit Crooked Lake Golf Course Wednesday evening. Course owner Bill Schumaker said he had warned golfers on the course of the coming storm, but that nobody expected it to be very serious.
