Nellie Boyer, 95

Nellie R. Boyer, 95, of Little Cedar Lake, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at her home.
She was born July 26, 1916, in Huntington County, a daughter of Frank and Grace (Plasterer) Pasko.
Her formative years were spent in Union Township, Huntington County. She graduated from Union Township High School.
On Nov. 9, 1935, she was united in marriage to Roger B. Boyer. They made their home on the Eckman Farm in Rock Creek Township, Huntington County until 1945 when they moved to a farm in Lancaster Township.
In 1981 they retired from farming and moved to their home on Little Cedar Lake, north of Columbia City. Mr. Boyer died June 4, 1997.
She was a member of Columbia City Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Jack (Marquita) Boyer of Urbana, Ohio and Rex (Glenda) Boyer of Huntington; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren;
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Boyer; a sister, Dorothy Belle Halsey; and two brothers, Alfred Pasko and Chester Frank Pasko.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Huntington First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington with visitation 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. The burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington.
Preferred memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospital Hospice or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
