Neva B. Writesel, 92, a native of Noble County and a former resident of Fort Wayne, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
Born June 1, 1918 in Swan Township in Noble County, she was a daughter of Lodie and Eva Ellen (Richards) Freeman.
She was the widow of Richard C. Writesel
The surviving relatives include a daughter, Brenda Combs; two sisters, Mary Gerber and Laura Shank; and a brother, Wilbur Freeman.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Corinne K. Boruff, pastor of Churubusco United Methodist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco.
