NEW BANK: STAR renovation making progress

February 20, 2014

STAR Marketing President David Smith takes a photo of the progress made during the renovation of the downtown banking location in Columbia City.

COLUMBIA CITY — A local financial institution renovating its downtown Columbia City location is making progress toward its goal.

STAR Financial Bank began making improvements last year to its downtown location, 102 W. Van Buren St., Columbia City.

The drive-up window has remained open, but the downtown office has been closed.

The end-goal of the renovation is increased office space, which will house the STAR Insurance Agency, and a modern look for the building.
STAR Marketing President David Smith said it is about giving back to the community.
