No word yet on EMS contract

December 9, 2011

COLUMBIA CITY — According to Dan Sigler, county attorney, there has been no contact from the Parkview legal department regarding the new Emergency Medical Services contract.
Sigler sent a final contract to Parkview for review last month.
“They have it all,” said Commissioner Tom Rethlake. “We’re looking at the end of this month, being without a contract if they (Parkview) don’t get on it.”
Sigler said the contract was in order with all of the previous discussions and all he could foresee would be some minor tweaking of the language.
“I’m assuming they just haven’t finalized it,” said Sigler.
If the contract is not accepted, re-negotiations may begin again after Jan. 1, Rethlake said at Monday’s Whitley County Board of Commissioner’s meeting.
