Norma E. Boggs, 91, of Scottsville, N.Y., passed away at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Episcopal Church Home, Rochester, N.Y.
Born Oct. 12, 1922, in Allen County, she was the daughter of Earl and Hilda (Frazier) Sprouls.
She lived her entire life in the Churubusco area until 2010 when she decided to move closer to her son Steven.
She graduated from Huntertown High School with the Class of 1940.
On July 3, 1947, she married Clayton V. Boggs in Ligonier. She was a cashier for Hudson’s Department Store in Fort Wayne, retiring in 1987. She also served on the Churubusco Library Board.
Survivors include her son, Steven (Peg) Boggs of Scottsville, N.Y.; sister, Beatrice McQuire of Fort Wayne, and Diane (Walter) Blizzard of Gardnerville, Nev.; grandchildren, Nathan (Nicole) and Timothy Boggs; and great-grandchildren, Arthur and Layla Boggs and Evan and Chloe Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and; sister, Jeanne Blaugh.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverview Cemetery, 11130 Carroll Rd., Churubusco.
Memorial gifts may be given in Boggs’s memory to Compassion International. Arrangements are with DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home.
