ONE MILLION INVESTMENT: Sites Medical to add 45 new jobs

COLUMBIA CITY — An estimated 45 new jobs will be coming to Whitley County due to an existing business expansion.

Alan Tio, Whitley County Economic Development Corporation president, presented Whitley County Commissioners and Council with the proposed business opportunity at meetings Monday and Tuesday.

Sites Medical LLC, a medical technology company, develops solutions focused on spine, sports medicine, and orthopedic oncology for orthopedic patients and surgeons. The company was founded in 2008, and is based in Columbia City, located off U.S. 14 within Micropulse Inc. The expected $1.9 million investment would allow for testing and product development. Leasing an additional 8,000 square feet would mean the company would more than double its size.
