Opal Sitts, 73

Opal Ilene Sitts, 73, of Columbia City, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
Born on December 17, 1938, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of Wayne and Irene Elizabeth (Salesman) Sitts. She was a lifetime resident of Columbia City.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Wanda Sitts of Columbia City and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Faye Wood and brothers, Franklin and George Sitts.
Family visitation and committal service will be held today at 3:00 p.m. at South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City.
Memorial donations may be given to DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home for final expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
