Park preps for 5K: City to raise awareness for aquatics

November 21, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s Park Department puts on a 5K race every December, called Dashing Through the Snow 5K.

In the past, money earned from the race has gone toward the Splash Pad at Morsches Park.

Since the announcement of the closing of Burnworth Memorial Pool, community members have rallied around the idea of a new aquatics facility.
