Patricia Ann Dean, 65, of Columbia City, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne,.
Born on July 16, 1947, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Jefferson Davis and Mary Jane (Kneller) Caudill.
Raised in Columbia City, she spent her lifetime in the Whitley County and Fort Wayne areas, living in Columbia City for the past 17 years. She graduated from Columbia City School with the class of 1965.
On June 1, 1989, she married Leon Dean in Fort Wayne. She worked for 41 years at Dana Corporation as a plant superintendent and also in inventory control in the production department at Churubusco and several other locations. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Columbia City.
Surviving relatives include her husband of 23 years, Leon Dean of Columbia City; mother, Mary Jane Caudill of Columbia City; son, Mike R. (Amy) Repp of Fort Wayne; two stepsons, Todd A. Dean of Columbia City and Jason M. (Michelle) Dean of Kendallville; six grandchildren, Kari, Jessica, Wyatt, Santana and Jackson Dean and RaeNell Arnos; sister, Barbara (George) Vogel of Killeen, TX and brother, Wayne Caudill of Columbia City. She was preceded in death by her father, Jefferson Davis Caudill; stepson, Wyatt Dean; brother, Michael Caudill and first husband, Raymond Repp.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with one hour of calling prior to the service. Pastor David Mommens will be officiating. The burial will follow at St. Peter’s German Lutheran Cemetery, Columbia City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given in memory of Mrs. Dean to St. John’s Lutheran Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
