PHOTO: Mayor heads back to school; reads to students

Columbia City Mayor Ryan Daniel spent Monday morning reading to students at Little Turtle Elementary School as part of Read Across America Week. Both kindergartners and fifth graders listened to Daniel read Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax.” After reading the story, Daniel also answered questions from the students concerning his role as mayor. Fifth-graders at Little Turtle Elementary School with Mayor Daniel are, in the back, Treyten Nicolai and Raylynn Johnson.
